Yesterday afternoon (Saturday April 17) Bea lost her territory and her mate to a persistent intruding female.

Time will tell and we can only pray & hope.
But it doesn't look good for the babies, Abe is not very experienced in feeding little ones. Last year he never got a chance to feed, Bea always took over, and now he only had a few days to learn before Bea disapeared.
But he tries very hard to get into the box and take care of the chicks. We can only hope he has the stamina to continue trying and will manage to feed the chicks a bit everyday. Till the new female will help to feed and raise the little ones in about two weeks from now.
The other scenario is the chicks will pass and in about two weeks from now the new female will lay her eggs in the nestbox. Or the chicks will pass and the female doesn't lay eggs anymore this season.

There's absolutely nothing we humans can do, we must let nature have her course!
Our Flora & Fauna law is very strict and prohibits human intervention of any kind.
Just like we can't intervene in the Eemsmond nest.

It's horrible to watch, but it also teaches us how peregrines deal with this kind of situation.

Non c'è assolutamente niente di noi esseri umani possiamo fare, dobbiamo lasciare che la natura ha il suo corso!
La nostra Flora & Fauna legge è molto severa e vieta l'intervento umano di qualsiasi tipo.
Così come non possiamo intervenire nel nido Eemsmond
