There must be, by the behavior of both hawks, at least one egg in the nest thus far.
Lola did spend the entire night (Saturday into Sunday) on her nest--so, confirmed first overnight is March 10th.
Some recent feedback.
Mating continues even as nest sitting has begun. Mating always occurs outside the nest and once over one parent immediately rushes back to the nest. (Lincoln)

PM&Lola si danno molto da fare per il nido ed è molto probabile che un uovo sia già stato deposto. Benché continuino ad accoppiarsi, uno di loro ritorna subito al nido e lei comincia a passarvi la notte. Nella quarta foto foto PM scaccia un falco pellegrino. Nell'ultima Lola riposa un momento da sola. Immagine

I don’t think any language can describe the thrill I experience when I see these creatures passing close by me. I think language only serve to corrupt the experience and I feel like I long for a way to suppress the language and see only the forms and the movement and hear the noises or even feel the loud silence they produce, without attempting to construct feeble sentences to tell of that awe felt when these great creatures sail by me. There! So said and thus it’s corrupted. Because they hardly ‘sailed by me’. For one thing the tense is wrong since I still feel them going by and they always will. Enter language and such beautiful experiences are summed up into bland little packages which only dimly describe the events which are willing to linger in my soul forever, but which are forced to wither away when locked up inside a small cramped sentence.
I hope that once you read this you'll set aside the words I write and try to imagine you're there hearing the sound of the wind and feeling the warmth of the sun and best of all seeing the magic of Lola's eyes as she looks into your own eyes here.

Could not be in the park today...weather did not allow it. Lola was bombarded by the hail and snow all day and still all through the night. Palemale will be very close by her and the energy of the Universe is going to keep her warm and comfortable.

Pale Male is a Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) who is beloved by New York City birders and who has attracted widespread notice in the press. He was named by the birdwatcher and author Marie Winn, due to his unusually light coloring. The first Red-tailed Hawk known to have nested on a building (rather than in a tree), he was the subject of an episode of the PBS series Nature [1]. Pale Male is fourteen years old (as of 2006) and is known to have sired twenty-six chicks with four mates.

Il Pale Male (letteralmente pallido maschio) è UN falco coda rossa (Buteo jamaicensis). PM è il suo soprannome, suo e basta, non il nome di un tipo di falco. In US abbondano i Red-tailed Hawks, ma questo è particolare per il suo colore chiaro e molto amato dagli appassionati di NYC.
Ale, l'affetto non c'entra con la precisione.
Volevo anche far sapere a Giusy e a chi fosse interessato che il thread era già iniziato nel vecchio forum.
Perché non dirlo? In fin dei conti ci ho lavorato praticamente da sola, soprattutto all'inizio, e sono ben contenta che da un po' di tempo venga apprezzato da più persone nel nostro forum.

Please try to send some comfort for Lola who, poor thing, had to endure several hours of repeated renditions of Amazing Grace and God Bless America on bagpipes all afternoon.

A mouse for Lola. The light was bad on Saturday but their story went on regardless.

The tiny mouse in his own beautiful story must have been walking quietly and happily between the low grass and slushy undergrowth in some cozy little part of the park when his life came to an abrupt end. Up until that time he was free however, and now as the Universe prescribed, his life is playing an important part of another beautiful wildlife story--a story no more or no less that the mouse's.
