You are correct Picchio, I'm sorry to tell you that one of the chicks died on May 7 in the afternoon. The next day Mariken took the little body out of the nest. It's sad, but it's nature. Only the strongest survives.
And with all the battles Mariken had to fight this season, I think it's a miracle 2 eggs hatched and one chick is still alive.
(I'm still on vacation, that's why I didn't respond sooner)
