credo che il senso di questa cosa sia stato nuovamente travisato,ognuno di noi ha la propria posizione emotiva per affrontare le cose.

Nora - how many chicks are there in Zwolle now? Do we know when we can expect to see chicks in the other peregrine nests? (I remember that Nijmegen may be delayed because of the break in the laying sequence.)

Domande per Nora: quanti piccoli ci sono a Zwolle? Sappiamo quando dovrebbero nascere gli altri piccoli pellegrini? (Mi ricordo che c'è la possibilità di un ritardo a Nijmegen per via della pausa nella deposizione).

We only have 1 cam image of the newborn chick



Of course we will have only two chicks here, cause the third egg has broken. But two healthy new peregrines is fine by me!

Eemsmond:
We keep our fingers crossed! The pair is incubating very well, we hardly see the eggs uncovered.


The estimated hatch date is 23/24 April (give or take a couple of days)
Since full time incubation started just hours before the fourth egg was laid it's not easy to tell.

Nijmegen:
All seems well now at this nest. We didn't notice any further (major) disturbance. Mariken & Peter are taking their turns to incubate their clutch of three.

As Warbler already said, we are not sure when to expect the first hatch.
Could be at the end of April, could be in the first week of May, or later.
It's also possible no egg will hatch at all.
We'll wait and watch.

Zwolle:
We are sure of three chicks here. Occasionally we can see a small part of the fourth egg. Or is it just an egg shell? Germa fooled us before! She kept an egg shell under her wings for a while, and the chicks very well covered. :roll:
We need to be patient and wait till the chicks have 'grown into cam view'!

The new female and Abe are courting. Here's an image of the new female in the nest and Abe at the entrance. You can just see a part of his head. They're bowing and ee-chupping.


We could read a part of her ID band. She's from Germany and based on her plumage, she was born in 2008. We will know more if we can read the entire code.
It's possible she will lay eggs, though it's a bit late. But not too late in the season!

The Kestrels at Bergum have two eggs.

And the Kestrels at Harculo have one egg. But we expect to see her second egg today.

Nel mio post ieri ho chiesto a Nora la situazione di uova/pulli in questi siti. Ecco un riassunto:
Tilburg
C'è 1 pullo ma ce ne saranno solo due perché l'altro uovo si è rotto.

Eemsmond
Speriamo in bene. La cova va veramente bene e le uova non sono quasi mai lasciate scoperte. La schiusa è prevista per il 23/24 aprile ma la cova a tempo pieno è cominciata poco prima della deposizione dell'ultimo uovo quindi non è facile prevedere.

Nijmegen
Sembra che vada tutto bene ora e ci sono tre uova. La foto mostra Mariken che aspetta per prendere il posto del suo compagno sulle uova. Come ho detto nel mio post, non è facile dire quando ci sarà la schiusa: fine aprile o inizio maggio, oppure è possibile che non ci sarà una schiusa. Aspettiamo!

Zwolle
Siamo sicuri che ci sono 3 pulli. Di volta in volta si vede parte del quarto uovo ma dobbiamo aspettare che i piccoli crescono per arrivare alla cam!

AEB
C'è il corteggiamento tra la nuova femmina e Abe: è la nuova femmina nell'immagine. Sono riusciti a leggere una parte del suo anello e sembra che venga dalla Germania; il piumaggio indica che è del 2008. Le uova non sono escluse, anche se è po' tardi, ma non troppo, nella stagione.

I gheppi
A Bergum ci sono 2 uova e a Harculo solo uno ma un secondo è previsto per oggi.
