Well, I am home now for one hour,
and during that time Vergine was breeding constantly, and still is.
That's not too bad, is it?

Re: ALBUM FOTOGRAFICO DI APPIO E VERGINE
Because of your worries I have been studying the campics of today.
I noticed also today that only Vergine is breeding.
Therefore the eggs are often uncovered.
Our recorder was started at 9.22 this morning.
At that moment Vergine was breeding.
She stayed on the eggs until 10.26
At 13.26 both falcons returned, and Vergine started breeding immediately.
The male just had lunch in front of the cam, and left at 13.23 (see movie)
At 14.21 the male arrives, and both falcons left again.
At 14.32 Vergine comes back.
At 15.30 the male arrives with prey in front of the cam.
Vergine walks his direction, but the male flies away, with the prey.
Vergine follows him, and returns at 15.34
Vergine keeps on breeding.
at 17.17 the male arrives, and leaves almost immediately
At 18.05 Vergine needs to strecht her wings/legs for a moment.
At 18.21 the male arrives with prey in front of the cam, and Vergine leaves the nestbox.
The male also leaves with the prey and returns without the prey.
The male hangs around near the cam for a while, and at 18.25 walks to the nestbox.
But instead of breeding, he is just looking around, and finally sits on the nestbox, enjoying the nice view over the area.
At 18.30 while the male is still sitting there, the cam stops.
(see 2nd part of the movie)
From the behaviour of the male it is clear that this can not be Appio.
And this male has also no problem in his right wing, like Appio has.
For me this is enough evidence, that we have another male here.
I hope he soon will start breeding as well, otherwise I fear that this nest will not be succesfull.
First an onner to our beloved Appio, who was helping so well in breeding.

Here you can see the refresh-images of today.
It is a pitty, that the campics are so dark, but still it is clearly visible that this male behaves different.
Also it can be seen that this falcon has no problem on his right wing, like Appio has.
I don't know whether this change of male, is also the reason for the eggs being moved to the other side of the nestbox.
