Dear Falcon friends,
Again a major step was made in the realisation of getting images on the Internet from the De Mortel.
A WiFi connection was established. The antenna is mounted at the back of the tower. The speed is not yet high enough for streaming video though.
We are now performing tests to get the refresh images on to the Internet.
Of course we are also working on upgrading the speed to make live streaming available in the near future.
In the mean time, the new sponsor is working on a website that will host the refresh images from both the nest box- and the ledge webcam.
The cooperation with Alticom, the provider and the "Think tank"is excellent. Frequent contact, even after business hours, is no problem at all.
All parties are enthusiastic and very determined to make it all happen very soon.
S2 and Pa are going about their business in the mean time. Incubating their precious four eggs.
We would like to point out that human presence in the tower every now and than, poses NO problem what so ever to the Falcons. Any work is done as quietly as possible.
And now we wait for the first hatching and let's hope we can witness that live on our computer screens.
Stay tuned for further updates in the coming week(s).

Actual news about the webcams De Mortel
You all know that there is made an huge effort to see pictures or movies from whats happening in the nest box. Together with our sponsors Alticom and Internl we tried everything to get these pictures on the internet.
At this moment it is possible to see pictures from the inside and outside cam, which refresh every 20 seconds automaticly.
You can see these pictures on: www.evenementgemist.nl/mortel
Some details will be changed on this site, so it can be possible that the pictures are not always online.
Besides the broadcasting of the refresh pictures, we are still working to try to get live streaming. As soon as we know more about this possibility, we will let you know.

Zoals jullie allemaal weten is er achter de schermen ontzettend veel gedaan
om beelden te kunnen zien van wat zich in de nestkast afspeelt.
In samenwerking met Alticom en Internl. (de nieuwe sponsor) is alles op alles
gezet om toch beelden openbaar te krijgen.
Op dit moment is het mogelijk om refreshbeelden die om de 20 seconden
verspringen te bekijken van de binnen- en buitencam.
Deze beelden zijn te zien via www.evenementgemist.nl/mortel
Er wordt nog het een en ander aan de pagina aangepast, dus misschien is het mogelijk dat de beeldjes soms niet te zien zijn.
Naast het uitzenden van de refreshbeelden wordt achter de schermen ook
nog steeds volop gewerkt aan de mogelijkheden om live beelden uit te zenden.
Zodra hier wat meer over bekend is zullen wij dit natuurlijk meteen melden.
